𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙏𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝘼𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙮 ภูมิใจนำเสนอ 𝙀𝙓𝙋𝘼𝙉𝘿𝙀𝙍 – Thailand Satellite ครั้งที่ 2 จัดขึ้นควบคู่ไปกับ งาน 8th International Biennale of Non-Objective Art
พิธีเปิดนิทรรศการวันที่ 27 กันยายน 2568 ร่วมกับ KULTX ขอนแก่น

จัดแสดงระหว่างวันที่ 27 กันยายน – 5 ธันวาคม 2568
ครั้งนี้ถือเป็นการจัดแสดงนิทรรศการครั้งที่ 2 ในประเทศไทย โดยมุ่งเน้นการเชื่อมโยงแนวปฏิบัติทั้งในระดับนานาชาติและระดับท้องถิ่น เน้นย้ำถึงงานสืบค้นข้อมูลที่ขยายขอบเขต และส่งเสริมการสร้างสรรค์ที่ก้าวข้ามวิธีการตาม ‘แบบแผน’ ปกติ
𝙀𝙓𝙋𝘼𝙉𝘿𝙀𝙍 ครอบคลุมทั้งศิลปินที่ได้รับการยอมรับและมีส่วนร่วมอย่างลึกซึ้งใน “ศิลปะไร้วัตถุวิสัย” (Non-Objective Art) และผู้ที่ริเริ่มทดลองทำงานในรูปแบบใหม่ๆ สิ่งนี้ช่วยลดทอนการรับรู้ว่าศิลปะไร้วัตถุวิสัยมีแนวคิดและการปฏิบัติที่เข้มงวด และเปิดกว้างสู่การเล่าเรื่องเสริม (Augmented Narratives) ใหม่ๆ ที่ต่อยอดจากประวัติศาสตร์
ผลงานในนิทรรศการนี้มีลักษณะทดลองโดยเน้นการ “เปิดกว้าง” ไม่เพียงแค่ในระดับวัสดุ แต่รวมถึงแนวคิด เทคนิค และกระบวนการ สาระสำคัญอยู่ที่การผสมผสานวัสดุที่ไม่เป็นแบบแผน เช่น เสียง วิดีโอ อักษรศาสตร์ พลาสติก แก้ว โลหะ และเม็ดสีหลากหลายชนิด เปิดโอกาสให้ศิลปะที่ไร้วัตถุวิสัยขยายขอบเขตและต่อยอดไปพร้อมๆ กับยึดมั่นในแก่นแท้ของศิลปะ ท้าทายบรรทัดฐานเดิมในศิลปะที่เป็นนามธรรม และชวนให้ผู้ชมตั้งคำถามกับการรับรู้และมุมมองของตนเองในระหว่างการชมผลงาน
𝙀𝙓𝙋𝘼𝙉𝘿𝙀𝙍 มุ่งหวังที่จะสร้างพลังให้กับเครือข่ายที่กำลังพัฒนา และนำเสนอสิ่งที่บางคนอาจมองว่าเป็นเพียงวาทกรรมแคบๆ ให้ปรากฏในฐานะพื้นที่ที่มีชีวิต เต็มไปด้วยความเคลื่อนไหวและการเปลี่ยนแปลง
Satellite Biennale ทำหน้าที่เป็นการวิพากษ์วิจารณ์เบียนนาเล่ รวมถึงเครือข่ายสถาบันและวาระต่างๆ ที่ เบียนนาเล่ขับเคลื่อนอยู่เบื้องหลัง ในทางตรงกันข้าม Satellite Biennale ก็พัฒนามาจากระดับท้องถิ่น และถึงแม้จะมีการแสดงออกและมุมมองในระดับสากล แต่ก็เปิดรับโครงสร้างระดับรากหญ้า นอกจากนี้ แนวคิดแบบ DIY ของเบียนนาเล่ การใช้รูปแบบการนำเสนอแบบซาลอน (Salon-Style) การใช้พื้นที่นอกกรอบ รวมถึงการตั้งใจทำให้เส้นแบ่งระหว่างศิลปินและภัณฑารักษ์พร่าเลือน ต่างก็เป็นการท้าทายระบบที่มีอยู่
𝙀𝙓𝙋𝘼𝙉𝘿𝙀𝙍 ไม่ใช่ข้อสรุปที่สมบูรณ์แบบที่สุด หรือมุ่งหวังจะเป็นตัวอย่างแต่อย่างใด หากแต่เป็นการสร้างเครือข่ายที่เติบโตไปด้วยกัน เชื่อมโยงทั้งความสนใจและความแตกต่างภายใต้ขอบเขตอันคับแคบของวาทกรรม
𝙀𝙓𝙋𝘼𝙉𝘿𝙀𝙍 หวังเป็นอย่างยิ่งว่านิทรรศการในครั้งนี้จะทำให้เกิดการถกเถียงเกี่ยวกับสิ่งที่ประกอบขึ้นเป็นศิลปะในบริบทนานาชาติมากยิ่งขึ้น และสนับสนุนให้เกิดการสนทนาเกี่ยวกับศิลปะนามธรรมร่วมสมัยมากขึ้นเช่นเดียวกัน

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙏𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝘼𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙮 proudly presents 𝙀𝙓𝙋𝘼𝙉𝘿𝙀𝙍 – the 2nd Thailand Satellite edition, running in parallel with the 8th International Biennale of Non-Objective Art.

This exhibition marks the second1 iteration of this initiative in Thailand. Specifically, it aims to connect international and local practices, highlight expanded areas of research, and foster production beyond conventional ‘formal’ approaches
𝙀𝙓𝙋𝘼𝙉𝘿𝙀𝙍 includes both practitioners recognized within and deeply engaged in Non-Objective Art, and those freshly experimenting with its forms. This diffuses the perception of Non-Objective Art as rigid in concept and execution and opens it up to new augmented narratives that build on its history.
The work in this exhibition is essentially experimental, considering not only material as ‘open’ but also concepts, techniques and processes. It is through the fusion of unconventional materials such as sound, video, typography, plastics, glass, metals, and diverse pigment types— that the field of Non-Objective Art can be expanded and amplified while staying true to its central premise, that it functions to challenge established norms in abstraction and invite viewers to reconsider their own perceptions and perspectives when viewing it.
𝙀𝙓𝙋𝘼𝙉𝘿𝙀𝙍 aims to energize evolving networks and present what some might consider a narrow field of discourse as dynamic evolving and alive.
The satellite Biennale serves as a critique of international biennales and the institutional networks and agendas they usually promote. In contrast it is thus locally developed, and while still global in expression and outlook, embraces grassroots structures. Its DIY ethos, moreover, use of salon-style presentation formats, unconventional spaces and its deliberate blurring of the boundaries between artist and curator, also contribute to this challenge.
𝙀𝙓𝙋𝘼𝙉𝘿𝙀𝙍 does not claim to be conclusive, nor does it aim to set an example. Instead, it seeks to foster shared evolving networks of connected interests and differences, within what might otherwise be considered a narrow field of discourse.
The hope of 𝙀𝙓𝙋𝘼𝙉𝘿𝙀𝙍 is to open debate into what constitutes art in an international context and contribute to greater dialogue on contemporary abstraction.
