THANOM Dead or Alive

We invite everyone who knew Thanom, both loved and hated him, those who argued with him.

Agree or disagree with Thanom, an art practitioner, student, artist, and young person interested in the field.

The spirit of criticism, an interest in society and the aesthetics of resistance, including those who have never met or known him before, come together to voice their opinions, debate, question, and explore how the intellectual legacy of Thanom Chapakdee still holds meaning for contemporary society.

Through a symposium discussing the intellectual legacy he left in the social and contemporary art history of Thailand.

The crucial question is: Is Thanom Dead or Alive? Is the fire still burning? Is it still being passed on, flourishing, and transforming into a force for critique of contemporary society? Or has it ultimately died out with the passing of its originator?
